The-then Chief of Malaysian Army, General Tan Sri Zamrose bin Mohd Zain (R) visited the Nurol Makina factory in Ankara, Turkey during the completion of the first unit vehicle. Upon his visit on the progress of the first completed vehicle, Tan Sri Zamrose had officiated the vehicle commissioning name of the Nurol Makina Ejder Yalcin 4×4.  

It is now officially renamed as Panthera. The inspiration came from the Malaysian Panthers, as it had brought a symbolic meaning to the vehicles’ ability on mobility and agility in any circumstances.
